“สุสานยุคโรมัน” โผล่ฉนวนกาซา – ซินหัว รายงานจากกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและโบราณวัตถุของปาเลสไตน์ซึ่งบริหารโดยกลุ่มฮามาสในพื้นที่ฉนวนกาซา เปิดเผยการค้นพบ “สุสานยุคโรมัน” ประกอบด้วยหลุมศพมากกว่า 60 หลุม ทางตอนเหนือของฉนวนกาซา

สื่อท้องถิ่นกาซาอ้างอิงแถลงการณ์จากกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและโบราณวัตถุว่า คณะผู้เชี่ยวชาญกำลังดำเนินโครงการขุดค้นสุสานดังกล่าวซึ่งมีอายุย้อนไปถึงศตวรรษที่ 2-4 โดยโบราณสถานนี้ถูกพบครั้งแรกโดยคนงานก่อสร้าง บริเวณสถานที่ก่อสร้างแห่งหนึ่งในย่านที่อยู่อาศัย

นายจามาล อาบู ไรดา อธิบดีกระทรวง กล่าวว่ามีการขุดพบโบราณวัตถุจำนวนหนึ่ง เช่น เหยือกดินเผาและภาชนะแก้ว ขณะทีมเจ้าหน้าที่เทคนิคของกระทรวงกำลังทำงานร่วมกับผู้เชี่ยวชาญต่างประเทศเพื่อวิเคราะห์การแสดงออกทางวัฒนธรรมของการค้นพบครั้งนี้
